The vast majority of sexually-active teenage women say that their first intercourse was voluntary but not wanted. By “unwanted” they mean they did not want to have intercourse but felt they had to. This is called sexual coercion. These young women often cite a variety of reasons they felt compelled to have intercourse, ranging from physical force to feeling sex was expected of them.
